Dr Adam Hazell
MB BS BSc MRCGP DGM DRCOG
I am a General Practitioner and graduated from the University College London Medical School in 2007. I have a great passion for my role as a family doctor and the privilege that comes from getting to know and treating my patients. I have experience in a broad range of medical specialities including paediatrics, mental health and obstetrics and gynaecology.
My specialist interest is in musculoskeletal medicine and sports injuries. I gained a diploma in sports and exercise medicine from the University of Bath and am currently in the process of completing a master’s degree in this field. This has given me a firm foundation in the field of health promotion and preventative medicine. I also have strong links locally with world-class orthopaedic surgeons, sports doctors and physiotherapists if referral is required.
My other area of expertise is in geriatric medicine and treating chronic disease, which is becoming increasingly more common in an aging population. I have undertaken several hospital posts on geriatric, rehabilitation and stroke wards and gained the Royal College of Physician’s Diploma in Geriatric Medicine.
I also have a role in health screening, being on a board of doctors responsible for performing seafarer medicals and am a specialist medical advisor in the financial services industry for critical illness.
